Why have I received an email or text saying I'm nearing my credit limit?

To help you avoid going over your credit limit and being charged a fee, we’ll send you an alert by email or text when you’re close to your credit limit. You’ll only get this message once during any statement month.

We hope you find this message helpful, but if you want to change how you get it, or if you don’t want to get it at all, please let us know by sending us a message from the ‘Help’ section of the Barclaycard app  or online servicing.

If you’ve set up any other alerts for your account, you'll still get these as normal.
