I have been approached by a Claims Management Company (CMC) to make a PPI complaint. What should I do?
You do not need to use a claims management company (CMC). At Barclays, we handle PPI complaints in exactly the same way, within exactly the same timeframe, whether they are made by a customer or by a CMC. Claims management companies charge an average of 27.5% (+ VAT) of any refund you may receive related to your PPI complaint. The amount charged will vary dependant on the CMC being used.
If you received a PPI refund of £1,000, by complaining directly with Barclays you’ll receive the full amount of £1,000
If you received a PPI refund of £1,000, by using a CMC you will only receive £660
