Will a high Experian Credit Score help me get accepted for more credit?

When you make an application for credit each lender, including Barclaycard, will score your application based on a number of factors including:

  • The information in your credit report which will show how you have managed credit in the past
  • Any customer records you have with them already
  • Information you may have provided on the application form such as your income
  • Their own lending policy rules

It is this score that will help them decide whether to accept your application or not and while your credit history is only one factor it is an important one and one which you can control. A good score provides an indicator as to your likelihood to be accepted.
