Why is my interest charge higher this month?

The amount of interest you pay can change for a number of reasons. Interest is charged based on an Average Daily Balance on the account. This is calculated by adding up the outstanding balance on your account each day and dividing by the number of days in the month.

So, if you've spent more this month or if the month is longer, then this could mean that the interest charge is higher.
