How are my payments applied when I have an Instalment Plan on my account?

If you have an Instalment Plan on your account, it'll come first and may be repaid quicker than any other balances on your account, which are charged at a higher rate of interest. To help explain, here's the order of how we apply your repayments:

• first, your Plan payments due that month

• second, your main balance. We’ll start with the balances charged at the highest interest rate, such as cash transactions, before any lower rate balances

• and then any remaining Plan balance. If you’ve got more than one Plan, we’ll start with the Plan that ends first

If you don’t have a Plan on your account, we’ll allocate your payments as normal, starting with higher interest rate balances before lower interest rate balances.

See Instalment Plan for full details.
