How can I set up Power of Attorney on my account?

First, you’ll need to get your Power of Attorney request certified by a solicitor or within a Barclays branch. To do this, they’ll need to put an original stamp or a signature on each page of the request form.

You and your nominated person will then need to sign the form. Once you’ve done this, you can:
• post your submission form to us (just make sure it’s certified properly)
• or apply in a Barclays branch – they’ll then certify and fax this to us
To help keep your account safe, we’ll ask your nominated person for a few security details whenever they get in touch with us. They’ll need to tell us your mother’s maiden name, your date of birth, and your password – so please share this with them once your request has been approved.
