Why can't I use my date of birth as my passcode to log into Barclaycard online servicing?

The passcode you use to access your account securely online or over the phone, is private to you and Barclaycard, which means it needs to be unique and difficult to guess.

It's not possible to use your date of birth, because this is a date known to other people, and therefore not secure. We also recommend you don't reuse login details you use elsewhere.

Once you're logged in, you can change your security details at any time, by selecting 'Secure login details', which you'll find under 'Your details' in the top menu.
