How secure is Barclaycard online servicing?

You can log in with complete peace of mind. When you connect to your account online, your session is encrypted. This means, the information you enter is encoded by your browser, using a unique, secret key known as a session key. Your browser and the secure server negotiate with this at the beginning of your session, so any third party won't be able to read any information you send us, or vice versa. Only our secure server will be able to decrypt your information.

We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to manage your encrypted session, and 128-bit encryption. This is why you need the latest versions of web browsers to register for and use our service. You can find out more about SSL and encryption in your browser help section.
